30/08/19 - We left Kiama on Tuesday morning heading for one of our favorite birding sites, Chiltern, Vic. The area is dry. Even after some rain, the main dams for the birds are below capacity but this hasn't stopped preparations for nesting. The Yellow-footed Antechinus below wasn't worried by our prescence but does appear to be guarding a breeding hollow.
27/08/19 - Saturday and Sunday I went on 2 pelagics. Here is a collection of seabirds from the 2 days, a diving Humpback Whale and a crab on the vertical wharf wall. No captions done.
23/08/19 - A few days looking around the parks away from the coast and some of the wildlife seen. It is still a bit cool for much more than birds. Next 2 days will be allocated to doing pelagics with the regular SOSSA (Southern Oceans Seabirds Study Association) group.
21/08/19 - We left home on Sunday, 17th stopping overnight at Marlo. Next night at Wallaga near Merimbula then to Kiama where we will stay for a week, exploring the area with includes 2 pelagics. Below are some photos of the trip so far. The Red-whiskered Bulbul is a new bird for us.
